10 Tips for Selecting a Personal Trainer

1. How long has the trainer been practicing and what type of clients does he/she work with? Over 12 years... I work with every type of client and tailor each workout according to their needs.
2. Can the trainer provide you with a resume and a list of client references? Yes, many! Just ask.
3. Is the trainer certified with a recognized organization? Yes! I am certified through the American Council on Exercise (ACE), CPR and AED certified and am also a liscensed Sports Nutritionist through the NASN.
4. Has the trainer received any formal education in exercise science? Yes! I have a B.S. in Exercise Science and Wellness from Arizona State University.
5. Would you prefer a male or female trainer? Hopefully a female...
6. Do you like the trainer's personality and ability to listen, communicate and motivate? Come in and find out, I won't let you down!
7. What does the trainer charge, and how long is each session? It depends on what training package you choose. 1-hour individual, partner, and semi-private sessions are offered. Pricing varies.
8. What services are included in the price, and is there an additional gym membership fee? Again... depending on what package you choose (personal training, nutrition services, group activities, etc.) No, there are no membership fees!
9. Does the trainer have liability insurance? Of course!
10. Can the trainer accomodate any special needs you might have (such a pregnancy, disability or a medical condition)? Absolutely!
